Physicians are asked to calculate in advance, if available, to facilitate and expedite consultation. how much medicine (active substance) the patient has intoxicated. At the same time also try to estimate or find out the body patient weight.

We recommend it to all households, especially those where young children grow up, equipped with at least one package of activated (black) carbon (Carbosorb or Carbotox preparations). It is optimal to have one pack of the product in stock for each child in the family. In many cases, the administration of several tablets of activated charcoal by a layman prevents the development of symptoms of poisoning, or at least alleviates the course of poisoning. Consultation with the TIS will decide when activated carbon should be administered or, on the contrary, its administration is undesirable.

Since 1963, we have been providing information on first aid and treatment of acute poisoning.

We are a member of the European Association of Toxicological Centers and Clinical Toxicologists EAPCCT.
