Quality in VFN

VFN quality monitoring

Established quality assessment systems are a tool for maintaining and improving the quality and safety of health services provided. The Council of Europe made recommendations for its implementation at national level in 1997.

The evaluation of the quality and safety of health services is enshrined in Act No. 372/2011 Coll., On health services and conditions of their provision. Under this Act, the health service provider is obliged to implement an internal quality and safety assessment system. Within the General Teaching Hospital this is accomplished through internal quality audits, which are ensured and coordinated by the Quality Department.

The General Teaching Hospital in Prague has implemented the QMS (Quality Management System) in accordance with national accreditation standards, and the systems according to ISO 9001, 15189, 17025 are implemented.
