Institutional support
General University Hospital in Prague (VFN) is one of the largest hospitals in the Czech Republic. However, it also has an irreplaceable role in the research carried out, where it has always been ranked first in the evaluation of research under the Institutional Support for individual research organizations managed by the Ministry of Health. Research in this Institutional Assistance follows the previous research plans of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic: Diagnostics and Treatment of Genetic Conditional Disorders I. and II.
From the point of view of the organization of research, the VFN established a research co-ordinating unit, which is subject to the Deputy Director of the Faculty of Science, Research and Education, MUDr. Jan Bříza, CSc., MBA and coordinates the research groups in the VFN prof. MUDr. Jan Kvasnička, DrSc., Principal investigator. The VFN research team is further divided into 8 research groups led by individual research executives.
