After several years of practice at the General Hospital, Veronika Toningerová started working as an ostomy nurse, whose task is to guide patients through preoperative preparation, take care of them after surgery and also help them choose tailor-made aids when they are released home. The aids are also used in the outpatient clinic. "Every patient is different, every complication is different, and not every aid or procedure suits everyone," he explains.
