Medical Care Section

The General University Hospital in Prague is one of the largest facilities of its kind in the Czech Republic. VFN is one of the top workplaces in the Czech Republic providing basic, specialized and super-specialized care for citizens of the Prague region and the Central Bohemian Region; in some fields, specialized centers have nationwide operations. The hospital also provides basic diagnostic and medical care for residents of Prague 1, 2 and parts of Prague 4.

VFN provides a wide range of health care with the exception of burn medicine, plastic surgery, specialized neurosurgical procedures and treatment of infectious diseases. At the same time, it operates a comprehensive pharmacy service, including technologically demanding preparations of cytostatics and sterile medicinal products.
