I. Internal Clinic - Hematology

Information for patients

You need a boarding:

  • identification of the health insurance company,
  • identity card,
  • the name and address of your general practitioner,
  • the results of your examinations and recommendations for admission,
  • confirmation of incapacity for work, if it was issued to you,
  • personal needs (pajamas, slippers, toiletries including toilet paper).

Upon admission to the hospital, you will be allocated a bed and you will be informed who your attending physician is. The doctor and nurse will acquaint you with the procedure of the examination, treatment and the method of preparation for the examination or operation.

Valuable things

We recommend that you take only small amounts of money with you and do not take any valuables (large amounts of money, items made of precious metals, deposit and check books). Valuables can be stored in the main cash desk of the hospital in the headquarters building.

Pass

The patient can request a pass from their doctor. Patients who go on a pass are logged off the diet.

Diet regimen

The prescribed diet is part of the treatment and therefore you should not underestimate its importance. Make sure that there are no food left in the room that your relatives bring to you, as this could endanger your health.

Medicines

Take the medication you are prescribed as instructed. You have every right to know what medicines you are taking.

Laundry

You will store your own linen, clothes and luggage (possibly they will be stored for you) in the designated place of the relevant ward. It is also possible to return everything to the accompanying person. When releasing, hand over institutional linen and items that have been lent to you.

Visits

Visits to relatives and acquaintances are allowed daily at the hours determined by the relevant clinic where you are hospitalized. Ask your relatives or acquaintances to consider other patients in the room, to be considerate and not to sit in hospital beds. Upon discharge from the hospital, you will be informed of further recommended treatment and will receive a written discharge report for the attending physician.

We will be happy to leave you as much freedom as possible, but if there are more people together, especially during the illness, you need:

  • be considerate of each other and do not disturb others during the afternoon and night rest. In the evening, consider whether you are disturbing other patients by your behavior. The nurse is instructed to turn off the television and loud radio at 10 p.m. If you have your own TV or radio in your room, you must not disturb other patients (Ize listening with headphones).
  • respect the SMOKING PROHIBITION in the entire VFN complex,
  • do not use mobile phones in ambulances or other VFN areas where they may interfere with the operation of special medical devices.
