The Strahov Internal Medicine Department is a workplace that focuses primarily on the treatment of chronic renal failure. The developed program of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, in conjunction with other specialties, enables patients to offer comprehensive care.
The department has three wards with a total capacity of 58 beds (21 internal beds, 18 cardiology beds and 19 nursing beds), a hemodialysis center and a peritoneal dialysis clinic. There is a nephrology and internal medicine clinic, a comprehensive supportive care clinic for patients with kidney disease, a wound healing clinic, a clinical psychologist, an X-ray and a sonography department. We also offer other specialized care, such as determining the adequacy of dialysis, evaluating the quality of vascular accesses for hemodialysis and their effects on hemodynamics, ensuring vascular access through a permanent central venous catheter or comprehensive care for patients with renal disease.
