Clinic of addictology

The Addictology Clinic was established by merging the addiction treatment department and the addictology center.

The Department for Addiction Treatment focuses on the treatment of substance abuse and pathological gambling, therapy of dual disorders (a combination of substance abuse and other mental disorders). It also provides family therapy for addictive diseases. The Center for Addictology focuses on research into the use of addictive substances and activities that can lead to the development of addictive behavior, and on research and development of new approaches in the prevention, treatment and social reintegration of people with disabilities. The core activities of the center of addictology include mainly three areas:

• university teaching,
• Research and Development,
• creation of a lifelong learning program for professionals in the field.
