Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine

Outpatient Clinics of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine The General Teaching Hospital and the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University have more than 40,000 outpatient contacts per year. They provide a 24-hour consular service for patients from the catchment areas and a first aid medical service for children and adolescents from Prague 1, 2 and 4. The operation is provided by a general and reception ambulance, pediatric ultrasonography and 17 specialized outpatient clinics, many of which treat patients from all over Republic.

In addition to KDDL, the Department of Inherited Metabolic Disorders of the General Teaching Hospital and the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, hosts a number of outpatient workplaces in the DAK (Karlov Children's Area). Deployed laboratories of hematology, clinical biochemistry, radiodiagnostics and microbiology departments of the General Faculty Hospital in Prague are working with complementary fields in DAK. In DAK there is also a VFN institutional pharmacy.
