Clinic of Nephrology

Information for patients

The Department of Nephrology is a specialized workplace that deals with the treatment of kidney diseases and related conditions with an overlap into related fields (internal medicine in full, rheumatology, hematology, urology and others) with a focus on:

  • kidney ball diseases - immunonephrology (primary, secondary glomerulonephritis), vascular immune involvement (vasculitis - Wegener's granulomatosis, Churg-Strauss syndrome, microscopic polyangitis, Goodpasture's syndrome and others),
  • some rheumatic and other systemic diseases with renal impairment (eg systemic lupus erythematosus, amyloidosis),
  • hereditary kidney disease (eg polycystosis of the kidneys, Alport's syndrome),
  • hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, we are part of the center for vascular access, it is possible to undergo holiday dialysis with us,
  • we function as a superconsiliary workplace (center), thanks to the acute medicine department we can also take care of patients with critical conditions.

We do not deal with the issue of transplants - we cooperate in this area with the IKEM Transplant Center.

If you are interested in treatment at our clinic, first contact your doctor - the best treating nephrologist. He will contact us and, if necessary, arrange your outpatient examination, treatment or hospitalization with us. However, you can also contact us depending on the nature of your problems - here you will find a list of the most common types of diseases we deal with. Use for contact e-mail, or telephone contacts.
