Hospitalization of a patient for whom a radiological or surgical procedure is to be performed on vascular access can be provided by agreement with the senior physician of the ward E.
The Center for Immunonephrology of the First Faculty of Medicine and the General Teaching Hospital deals with kidney immune disorders and other immunopathological conditions, especially primary and secondary glomerulonephritis and vasculitis, such as:
We provide patients with these diseases with comprehensive care in both acute and chronic disease, both in hospital and outpatient. Backgrounds are available continuously for the most demanding conditions (state-of-the-art treatments, including plasmapheresis, immediate availability of specialized laboratory methods, possibility to perform renal biopsy on the same day, all hemoelination methods). Other cooperating experts from the General Teaching Hospital and other facilities (eg: Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Clinic of Radiology, Ophthalmology Clinic, Department of Neurology, Department of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, Institute of Rheumatology, Institute of Rheumatology) participate in the care of patients with these diseases. clinical and experimental medicine and others).

We provide not only acute and chronic dialysis care 24 hours a day, but also continuous purification methods (at the Department of Acute Medicine) and plasma apheresis. Mainly we care about patients with acute and chronic renal failure, as well as patients with various autoimmune diseases (autoimmune anemia, myasthenia gravis, demyelinating disease and others). In cooperation with the Department of Acute Medicine (OAM), we provide temporary vascular access (dialysis cannulas and tunneled catheters). We are involved in the care of patients, where the establishment of permanent vascular access is indicated. After the agreement it is possible to undergo recreational dialysis in our country. As one of the few dialysis centers we offer dialysis on Sunday. Taking the dialysis program, recreational dialysis and more can be arranged with the head physician of the hemodialysis center.
We care for the patient in the peritoneal dialysis program. In cooperation with the 1st Department of Surgery of the General Hospital, we provide implantation of catheters for peritoneal dialysis under hospitalization. We hospitalize patients who start peritoneal dialysis and patients with complications of this method. We care for patients from all cooperating dialysis centers in the Czech Republic. The above-mentioned service can be arranged by agreement with the chief physician of the peritoneal dialysis program.
